A Modern NHS
The NHS is evolving. From sources of funding to patients as stakeholders, the NHS is changing rapidly in light of changes to patient demand and healthcare culture. With this change comes a change in roles and we have seen the multidisciplinary team expand in recent years. As the MDT becomes more central, robust and creative, professional roles have overlapped with the introduction of new roles and lines of responsibility.
Endless Opportunities
Nurses, pharmacists and physiotherapists have taken on extended roles and the government has also introduced new professions including physician associates. Training in healthcare couldn't be more exciting
The Danger of Expediency
Things are moving fast and from our experience, this could feel too quick. Students and qualified members of the MDT who are taking on extended roles find themselves being rushed through their qualification and forced to take on responsibility prematurely.
We must not forget that we are here to learn.
The Need For CPD
The day job is busy and our educational experience can often suffer. In this tough environment, Pareto aims to champion clinical learning. We pride ourselves in building strong fundamentals through our teaching as well as imparting knowledge that is relevant to students/professionals and their practice.
